Photo Do’s & Don’ts

📸 Your photos are how clients first see you — great photos = more bookings!

âś… DO:

  • Use recent photos (taken within the last year)
  • Make sure photos are clear and well-lit
  • Dress appropriately — think brand ambassador, not casual or party attire
  • Use a neutral background when possible (plain wall, clean space)
  • Smile! Appear friendly and professional

🚫 DON’T:

  • Use blurry or grainy photos
  • Submit filtered or heavily edited photos
  • Wear hats, sunglasses, or anything obscuring your face
  • Upload group photos — all photos must feature you only
  • Use photos with logos or text overlays

📸 Tip: The better your photos, the more likely you are to get booked! Clear, well-lit, and professional photos help you stand out to clients.

👉 If your photos are rejected — you’ll receive a notification and see a note in the app explaining why (Update better profile picture).

You will need to upload new photos that follow the guidelines before your profile is considered complete.

âś… Select Cities for Gig Notifications

Next, you’ll be asked to select cities where you would like to be notified about new gigs.

  • You can enter up to 5 cities where you are available to work.
  • We will show you gigs within 60 miles of each city you select.

👉 Tip: Only select cities you are truly willing to travel to — this helps ensure you get relevant gig notifications.

Once you’ve added your cities, click Continue to move to the next step.

âś… Build Your Personal Profile

Now you’ll enter a few more personal details to complete your profile. This helps us process your employment correctly and allows clients to meet their event staffing needs.

You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Home Address (required for payroll and W-2 processing)
  • Social Security Number (required for W-2 employment and background checks)
  • Emergency Contact
  • Optional demographic details:
    • Gender
    • Ethnicity

(These fields are optional and used only to support clients' diversity and inclusion goals where applicable — they do not affect your booking or employment.)

👉 Tip: Be sure all required information matches exactly what is on file with your legal documents — especially your SSN and zip code — to avoid delays with payroll or Paylocity access.

You will also see a box labeled “Tell us about yourself and work history.”

  • Use this space to briefly describe your relevant experience, special skills, and personality!
  • Example: “5 years of brand ambassador and promo modeling experience. Outgoing, reliable, and love working live events.”

👉 Tip: Clients often read this box when selecting staff — so make it positive, professional, and personalized.

đź”’ Privacy Reminder

Your personal information is securely stored and used only for legal employment, payroll, and staffing purposes. It will never be shared or sold.

✅ Select the Types of Jobs You’re Qualified to Work

In this step, you’ll tell us what kinds of jobs you are qualified and interested in working.

  • You can select as many as apply — this helps us send you the most relevant gig notifications.

Available job types include:

  • Events & Promotions (brand ambassador, product sampling, street teams, etc.)
  • Healthcare (non-clinical event roles, such as check-in, screening support)
  • Labor (event setup/breakdown, equipment moving, light physical work)
  • Retail (product demos, merchandising, sales support)
  • Housekeeping (event and venue cleaning roles)
  • General (miscellaneous roles not covered by other categories)
  • Assembly (building event kits, assembling displays, booth setup)
  • Trade Shows (booth staffing, lead generation, product support, greeters)

👉 Tip: Only select job types you are comfortable performing — this ensures you receive gig offers that are a great match for you!

âś… Tell Us About Your Additional Qualifications & Skills

Next, you’ll be asked to provide any additional qualifications, skills, or information that may help match you to the right gigs.

You can select or enter details about:

  • Technology skills (basic tech skills, AV setup, photography, etc.)
  • Transportation (whether you have reliable transportation to gigs)
  • Certifications (ServSafe, Alcohol Service, CPR/First Aid, Food Handler, etc.)
  • Education (highest level of education completed)
  • Additional Languages (languages spoken other than English — can be a huge plus for certain events!)
  • Interests (hobbies, passions — helps us understand your personality and fit for certain brands)
  • Health (optional — used only if certain events have health requirements or physical demands)

👉 Tip: The more complete and accurate this section is, the more opportunities you’ll be considered for! Many clients request specific skills or certifications.

âś… Accept the Employment Agreement

(Final Step to Complete Your Worker Profile)

Before you can start working shifts, you will need to review and accept Armada’s Employment Agreement.

👉 Why?

Victory helps you find great gigs, but Armada is your legal employer — you are hired as a W-2 employee through Armada. This agreement makes it official so you can be paid for your work.

What to do:

  1. Tap View Employment Agreement and read through the document.
  2. Once you’ve read the agreement, check the box:

“I have read and agree to the above Employment Agreement.”

  3. Tap Accept to complete this step.

âś… This is the final step to completing your worker profile!

Once you accept the agreement, your profile will be ready for review and you can start applying to gigs as soon as your photos are approved.

Pending Review

Once you complete your onboarding steps and accept the Employment Agreement, your application will be reviewed by the Victory team.

You’ll see this Pending Review screen while we process your application.

⏳ How long does it take?

  • Most applications are reviewed within 48 hours (excluding weekends or holidays).
  • We’ll notify you in the app as soon as your profile is approved and you’re ready to apply for gigs!

🚀 When you’re approved:

  • You’ll be able to browse available gigs under the Gigs tab in the app.
  • You’ll also start receiving push notifications about new opportunities.
